How to use the regional guides
Start with the geography. A municipality, an economic-development region and a province can describe different populations and company locations. Each guide states its boundary before discussing business scale. A company's global workforce is not treated as local employment.
Companies and regional economies
Our Dutch semiconductor company directory maps businesses by function across the country. The regional series explains the places in which those activities connect, including workforce, research and infrastructure constraints.
Sources and methodology
Guides use company disclosures, public bodies and regional institutions. Promotional regional estimates are attributed separately from official statistics. Investment commitments are distinguished from completed projects. Only completed guides appear in this directory; it does not contain placeholder location pages.
